David Einhorn

Biography

David Einhorn graduated from Cornell University in 1991 and co-founded Greenlight Capital in May 1996 with under $1 million of starting capital. Greenlight runs a long-short, value-oriented strategy, and Einhorn is also chairman of the reinsurer Greenlight Capital Re. His book Fooling Some of the People All of the Time describes his six-year dispute with Allied Capital.
