Biography
Bill Ackman co-founded Gotham Partners in 1992 and Pershing Square Capital Management in 2004, after a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is known for concentrated, often activist positions in a small number of large companies, including Canadian Pacific, Chipotle and Universal Music Group, and for high-profile public campaigns such as his short of Herbalife. He is also Executive Chairman of Howard Hughes Holdings, having rejoined in May 2025.
