Biography

Cole Smead studied economics and history at Whitman College and was a financial adviser at Wachovia Securities before joining Smead Capital Management at its founding in 2007. He is chief executive, lead portfolio manager of the Smead International Value Fund and co-manager of the Smead Value Fund, and holds the CFA designation.
