Biography

Bruce Berkowitz graduated in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1980 and worked as a portfolio manager at Lehman Brothers and then Smith Barney. He founded Fairholme Capital Management in 1997 and launched The Fairholme Fund in 1999. He was a director and chairman of The St. Joe Company from 2011 to 2024.
